The game uses a top-down shooter mechanic and focuses on survival and incremental progression.  Hive Invasion Season 1 with New Systems and Somnia Missions

Hive Invasion Season 1 runs from November 27 to December 4 and includes new systems, Somnia missions, a prize-based leaderboard, and a tiered mission progression structure.

Each run is now divided into 3 stages: Exploration and initial combat, escalating enemy difficulty, and a Boss fight, which, if failed, initiates the Endless Wave mode with unlimited, escalating difficulty enemies.

A third endless map has been added to continue progression and increase the kill count.

The Level Up system has been expanded up to Level 10, providing stat increases, skill slots, and aid for surviving the late stages.

A complete Lobby system has been implemented, allowing for equipment management, minting of chests, checking achievements, and viewing the leaderboard.

On-chain integration through the Somnia network includes new blockchain-registered missions to test the game’s progression loop.

Chests with random skills have returned; each chest is minted with 2 SOMI tokens and has a limit of 3 chests per user.

 Hive Invasion Season 1 Prizes: $3,000 for the Top 30 Players on the Kill Leaderboard

The first season of Hive Invasion features a $3,000 prize pool awarded to the top 30 players on the kill leaderboard. The top three players, in addition to the cash prize, will receive a Genesis Pass, which are limited-access NFT items in the Pixcape ecosystem offering special benefits. Other ranks will also receive cash prizes:

• Ranks 4 and 5: $150
• Ranks 6 to 10: $100 each
• Ranks 11 to 20: $50 each
• Ranks 21 to 30: $30 each

In addition to the leaderboard prizes, players can participate in the game's on-chain progression by completing Somnia Missions, including reaching levels 5, 7, and 10 and unlocking the second and third maps, although these missions do not have separate financial rewards. The focus of the prizes is on player skill, and kills made in the Endless Wave mode play a significant role in the final ranking.

Anyone can enter Hive Invasion Season 1 for free through a browser on their computer and start playing by setting up their Echo-9 unit in the lobby. To win prizes, players must strive to be among the top 30 on the kill leaderboard by the end of the season. The number of kills is recorded in each run, and prolonged survival and effective enemy clearing increase the kill count. To maximize performance, players can upgrade weapons on the first two maps and then enter the third map. Defeating the boss on the third map activates the Endless Wave mode, where the most leaderboard progression is made, as enemies appear constantly and at an increasing rate. Completing Somnia Missions, unlocking the second and third maps, and reaching higher levels ensure long-term progression and increase the player's stats. Players can also mint up to 3 chests with SOMI tokens, which offer random skills to boost offensive or defensive capability. At the end of the season, the top 30 players will receive their prizes based on their final rank. This is a single-player PvE game, and the player's performance determines their position on the leaderboard.
